Special note about gas struts: To order the correct gas struts, I need to know the dimensions of your trailer body (length [m] x width [m] x height [m]), the number of struts fitted (usually two for all types of balloon trailers) and whether the strut should have an interlock mechanism.
This ensures that you get the correct strut which will support your hood with the correct spring load.
If you use struts which are too strong then the hood can be damaged, if you use struts which are too weak it wont stay up. It pays to use the correct replacement struts – they are expensive however at about 90 Euros each!
